The roads in New Tecumseth are a common pain point for residents. At the rate we are growing, they will only get worse. How will you ensure these issues are fixed properly?

Thank you for your question. Investing in our roads is investing in our residents. Each pot hole, or section of rough road costs residents money through more frequent car repairs and less efficient travel. With that said, funding road repairs is where any investment gets derailed, simply because the costs have outpaced the town's ability to pay for them. That is why as Mayor I will bring all levels of the government to the table for dedicated funding to support road rehabilitation. This is critical considering the growth levels being decided by the province.

It's is common practice in all the municipalities I have lived in to see road improvements at election time. Sometimes it works to show effort.

The quality of the work surprises me still to this day. With all the equipment available the progress leaves me with a lot of questions about the value we are getting.

This is not I subject that I can comment on with any authority, so I will have to investigate it a lot deeper. If I receive the mandate to lead the council of NewTecumseth then I will be able to get better answers for us all.
